Lya Gård 101, Kyrkbygård, and Andreas Måttgård stock the shop with vegetables, potatoes, flowers, eggs, and meat. Hagarnas Mejeri makes sure the shelves are filled with delicious specialty cheeses, creamy dessert cheeses, and flavorful hard cheeses.

With views over a rolling open landscape of fields, meadows, and the sea, the Ryssén family has been growing potatoes and vegetables for many years. The farm shop is stocked with freshly picked strawberries, vegetables, flowers, and meat from the farm’s own free-range pigs. From the on-site dairy, the counters are filled with milk, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream, while the greenhouse contributes vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, and chili. Here you’ll find meat–primarily the farm’s own beef, but also lamb at certain times–all slaughtered, dry-aged, and cut in the on-site slaughterhouse. In summer, they arrange cow safaris–bring the kids, hop on their wagon, and join a guided tour through the pasture among cows and calves. Cozy, right?

The cheeses are made just a stone’s throw away–fresh doesn’t get any better than this. In addition to their classic cheeses, you’ll also find small-batch varieties and limited editions that never reach the stores. Cheese has never tasted so good!

On the rugged island of Tylön off the coast of Halmstad, Lighthouse Keeper Meuller began smoking salmon over juniper in the late 1800s. The tradition continued, and in the next generation, his son Sivert sold juniper-smoked salmon in his fish shop in Halmstad–since then known as Halmstad-smoked salmon. Today, Jonas carries on the craft using traditional methods in stone ovens, smoking this delicacy with wind-swept, salt-soaked Halland juniper. Görviksfiskaren

Few things taste as good as freshly caught fish and it doesn’t get any fresher than at Görviksfiskaren External link, opens in new window. (swe). Down by the water’s edge in Görvik, Ann-Louise and Stig Nilsson run their small fish shop, selling their own catch from the Kattegat. Here you can buy mackerel, plaice, sole, and sea trout, as well as their own herring pickles. The fish is smoked at a local smokehouse.

A family farm and farm shop beautifully located on the sunny Halland coast north of Halmstad. Here they grow everything from grains to sugar beets and beans. From its beginnings with only pick-your-own strawberries, it now offers a complete experience with a farm shop, café, pizzeria, and vineyard. In addition to berries, they grow flowers and a variety of vegetables–all available in the well-stocked farm shop. You’ll also find plenty of products from other local producers.

Year-round, you’ll find fresh, frozen, and processed game–all handled entirely in the farm’s own slaughterhouse.

Fungigården

Welcome to Fungigården External link, opens in new window. (swe), the farm shop dedicated to oyster mushrooms in all their forms. In idyllic Harplinge, surrounded by rolling fields and lush farmland, you’ll find this charming little shop with cows grazing nearby. Inside the self-service shop, you’ll of course find the fresh organic oyster mushrooms you’d expect, but also dried and pickled varieties for other uses. Oyster mushroom salt is an exciting new addition to the shelves. You’ll also find products from other local producers, such as honey from the neighboring farm or chocolate and tea from I Am Coffee.
