The shelves are lined with sourdough bread, cakes, jams, homemade caramel, ice cream and, of course, lots of sweet cakes. The bakery is very popular and is known all over Sweden, so be sure to stop by in the morning to make sure your favorites are still available.

The pizzas are no exception and with each new season new exciting combinations are presented that will make your taste buds rejoice.

The restaurant’s upper floor serves a “climate-smart buffet” where you can enjoy tasty and seasonal food with a focus on reducing food waste. There is no fixed menu here, but rather the food is prepared entirely according to whatever raw ingredients are available on the particular day. Working together with various food suppliers, they buy the produce and other food ingredients that other restaurants don’t want, which means the meals here are made from food that otherwise would be thrown away. Ayes, certainly a creative challenge for the chefs in the kitchen, but oh so climate smart! Särdals Kvarn

If you want to have a quick bite to eat at one of “The 7 Wonders of Halmstad,” head over to Särdals Mill (swe). External link, opens in new window. Built in 1890, the Dutch style six-story windmill is one of the largest windmills in the Nordic region. The mill is no longer in use today; instead you can enjoy here a nice light meal in their cozy café and purchase locally produced products from their shop. Delicious baked goods, hearty sandwiches and simple lunch dishes are on the menu, often prepared with local raw ingredients from Halland.

For many years, Katarina and Kjell have produced food products from the farm’s own lambs and pigs at Västergårdarna (swe). External link, opens in new window. Now they have also opened the doors to the Västergårdarna farm shop and waffle shack. In a traditional rural home environment, they offer good light meals and first-class meat products. Everything served here is prepared from either their own home-grown or locally produced ingredients. In addition to the farm’s own meat products, the shop also sells eggs, vegetables and honey from the farm’s own production.

You can enjoy excellent light meals here with a fantastic view over the city of Halmstad. The café, though recently renamed Ekoteket, has been serving waffles with jam and cream for over 90 years. In addition to waffles, there also have soups, sandwiches, ice cream and pastries to choose from on the menu – all organic and mostly from locally produced ingredients. Take the opportunity to visit the fantastic open-air museum. And let the kids play in the superb Sagoängen playground.

The café offers a varied menu featuring organic and seasonal dishes, homemade pastries, and house-made ice cream. There’s a scenic playground for children and several boule courts available for rent, making it a perfect spot for families and friends. In the cozy shop, you can also find gifts and artisanal foods designed by My Feldt herself. Feldts at Skolberget is a welcoming oasis where you can enjoy delicious food, beautiful nature, and a creative atmosphere.
