Exciting art and exhibitions light up the autumn darkness

Slottsmöllan's beautiful old industrial premises are home to The PhotoGalleryexternal link, opens in new window, one of Scandinavia's most famous art galleries. This autumn, the award-winning artist Alison Jackson's infamous FAKETRUTH exhibition features images of celebrity doppelgangers in strange and challenging situations. Here the artist asks – can we believe everything we see in today's world of screens, images and the internet?

Even more padel!

Padel may be the fastest growing sport in Halmstad right now, and courts are appearing everywhere – both indoors and outdoors. During the summer, several new outdoor courts were unveiled, including at Örjans Vall and Strandtorp Golf Club. Or why not try one of the new indoor courts this autumn? This raw food café offers tasty pastries along with more filling options such as wraps, salads, pies and colourful smoothie bowls. Not only does the food look fantastic, it is also completely free of gluten, refined sugar and other additives. You’re getting hungry, aren’t you?

Culture Night becomes the Culture Marathon

The traditional Culture Night will take on a new form in 2020 and will instead be a three-week Culture Marathon that runs from 7 to 27 September. The period will be filled with round-the-clock cultural experiences – both in the heart of Halmstad and sometimes on a screen near you. Some programmes will be presented on an ongoing basis, while others will appear as surprises... Stay tuned!
