Here are just a few highlights:
- Sing karaoke in a retro 1980s-style studio room, complete with quotes from the film Sommartider on the walls.
- Pick up the "fåntelefon" and dial numbers 1–9 to hear special recordings. Tip! Try dialing 37385 and see who answers!
- Listen to music through wall-mounted headphones while browsing handwritten and typewritten drafts of lyrics from the band’s earliest albums.
- Share your dreams on the Dream Wall in Micke Syd’s recreated childhood bedroom.
- Watch projections, from rare footage of early live shows to behind-the-scenes clips by Phoenix Parnevik from the making of Sommartider the movie.
New for 2025 – expanded content and fresh installations added throughout the year. Some of the highlights include:
- Fan letters and interviews – A brand-new wall showcases excerpts from the band’s fan mail over the years. Discover everything from favorite drinks to hair and eye colors.

More Gyllene Tider
This legendary pop and rock band was formed in 1978. Their first rehearsal space was in Harplinge. And countless coffee breaks have been enjoyed at Börjes Konditori. If you want to find your way to Harplinge without using GPS, we recommend listening to the song “Harplinge” – a lively and fun road description to the town.
Did you know that Hotel Tylösand is filled with even more amazing photos, memorabilia, gold records, and other treasures belonging to both Gyllene Tider and Roxette? Definitely worth a visit!

Interview with Micke Syd
Join us as we step into Micke Syd's childhood room. In the lead up to the festivities during the summer of 2024, Destination Halmstad met Micke Syd in his room in his childhood home:
Welcome to the room where dreams were born. Many dreams took shape in this room. Perhaps he would become a professional football player. Or play in a band. Ultimately, Micke Syd chose music. How did that work out? If you have ever heard of a band from Halmstad named Gyllene Tider, we can safely say that it worked out pretty well!
