Brearedssjön lake

The Breared bathing area is an ideal destination to experience nature at close hand. Surrounded by the peaceful environment of the forest, you can enjoy birdsong, wild animals and fresh air. There is a bay with a barbecue area, jetties, grassy areas, a car park, lifebuoys and an outside toilet adapted for use by the disabled. The sandy beach is quiet and child-friendly.
Fylleån flows through Brearedssjön, which is 13 metres deep. The River Assam flows into the lake. Close to Brearedssjön is the lake Simlången, with Korumpan, its bathing area. Korumpan is located on a peninsula and has glossy, reflective water and the forest as its closest neighbour. Not far from Brearedssjön there are several bathing lakes to choose from.

Fishing

At Insjön, you can also try your luck fishing. If you have a fishing permit for the Simlångsdalen lakes, you can also go fishing at Brearedssjön. Here you can catch perch, bream, pike, pike-perch and roach. You can fish using flies, casting rods and fishing rods. Children under 16 years of age can fish free of charge. Boats are available for hire at Tallhöjden hotel.

Hiking

Brearedssjön and Simlångsdalen, its natural area of beauty, invite encounters with nature, such as hiking. There is a hiking trail with distances and difficulties suitable for everyone. You can choose between nine different routes from 0.7 to 13.2 kilometres. Among other trails, the 4-kilometre hiking trail around Brearedssjön goes round the entire lake. One of the trails will take you to Danska Fall, one of Halland's most visited nature reserves with its 200-year-old unspoilt forest.

More experiences

After bathing and hiking in the forest, there is more to experience around Brearedssjön. The Breared country museum serves sweets in cones in the old-fashioned way.
