More about camping
Is there anything better than a dip in the sea? Feeling the supple sand between your toes and hearing the waves gently breaking on the beach? The sun’s warming rays and the breeze’s cooling caress?
Did you know that Halmstad has no less than eight coastal camping sites in a strip that is only 42.2 kilometres long? Yes, fantastic! Starting in the south, we have the glorious Gullbrannagården. There is then a string of pearls offering something for everyone... First Camp Hagön–Halmstad, First Camp Karlstorp–Halmstad, First Camp Tylösand–Halmstad, Vilshärads Camping, Bengts Camping, Strandgården Vilshärad and, furthest north, Haverdals Camping.
Camping is fun, friendly and relaxing. Isn’t it just glorious to escape everyday chores and simply enjoy the here and now? Salt-spray scent and wind in the hair is a recipe for happiness. Best of all, Halmstad gives you more. Whichever camping site you choose, you are near to countryside, forests, lakes, sea, beach life, shopping, restaurants, history and entertainment.
If you are looking for an activity holiday, Halmstad is perfect. We have everything from golf courses, kite surfing, cycle and running trails to indoor and outdoor exercise facilities, wakeboard parks, adventure and play centres, etc. Please though... After all that activity, do not forget to “chill”. It is good for the soul. Halmstad is perfect for that too!
Glamping is a more luxurious camping experience. You stay in the heart of nature, but with all modern conveniences. Quite simply, there is a touch of hotel about it. We offer Bengtzeli’s Glamping in Skäpparp, just outside Steninge, north of Halmstad.
