Events and activities

During the fall school break, several try-out activities are organized for schoolchildren on holiday. Take the opportunity to try a new sport, fish, run or why not go on a ghost hunt or trick or treating downtown. By the way, do you like ghost stories? Choose a visit to Halmstad during the fall school break. Here is a weekend suggestion that includes all sorts of choices from fast-paced activities to enjoying nature's tranquility and lovely eateries. Come along!

Friday

16.00 Start your weekend by giving frisky legs a go in the Yoump jump park (swe). External link, opens in new window. Here you have every opportunity to become an expert at jumping high, jumping far, jumping up walls, rolling and flipping. And for those who want to jump really high and far, you can jump right into Yoump's foam pit - a huge sea of foam rubber.

18.00 Combine dinner with activity at O’Leary’s External link, opens in new window. in the city center. You'll find tasty burgers, grills, pasta and salads.

20.00 Finish your dinner with a game of bowling or shuffleboard, also at O’Leary’s. External link, opens in new window.

09.00 Delicious breakfast at the hotel.

10.00 Start your day in natural surroundings with a digital treasure hunt on Mt. Virsehatt. The hunt starts at the foot of the mountain and you then follow a marked trail up to the peak. Bring your phone or tablet and help the character Virse find treasures hidden along the way. Enjoy the view and the adventure but be careful, and keep an eye out for trolls! We recommend that you take the car to Virsehatt. Although there are buses to Oskarström, after you get off, you will have to walk about five kilometers, on partly pretty busy roads, before you reach Virsehatt.

12.00 Lunch at Bastard Burgers. External link, opens in new window. The name is a play on the name of the Swedish town of Båstad. They serve street food inspired by New York and the quality meat is from Sweden. In addition to burgers, cheeseburgers and pancakes, the children's favorites. Chicken Nuggets and Banana Split Fries have moved into the menu. While waiting for the food to arrive, and to make the restaurant experience more fun, kids will be able to enjoy Bastard-style gummy bears and paper crafts. Color your skateboard, burger or design a sneaker!

13.00 Stroll around downtown Halmstad in Halmstad city and discover our cozy city center with shops, cafes and restaurants everywhere. If you're feeling energetic, a visit to the jungle-themed Norre Katts playground is a perfect choice.

15.00 Challenge each other in one of the many activities at Slottsmöllan – choose between go-karting Opens in new window. and the Halmstad Activity Center (swe) External link, opens in new window. with its Laserdome, Prison Island, Gladiator Fight or Black Pearl Golf.

18.00 Have your dinner tonight at Pinchos (swe), External link, opens in new window. a favorite of many children. Here you can order fun non-alcoholic drinks and a variety of fun snacks inspired by all corners of the world.

20.00 If you've got the energy, sneak into the movie theater at Röda Kvarn (swe) External link, opens in new window. and end the day with a really good movie. Or just head back to the hotel and curl up on the fluffy beds.

Sunday

09.00 Wake up to a delicious breakfast at the hotel.

10.00 Explore Galgberget (Gallows Hill), close to downtown, with its open-air museum, viewing tower, Sagoängen playground and several trails in a scenic forest environment.

Tasty focaccias and salads in a rural setting with obligatory gelato for dessert. If you use public transport with Hallandstrafiken (swe) External link, opens in new window. to get to the World of Riccardo and Möllegård, you’ll need to walk about two kilometers to Möllegård. Finish the weekend with a walk in the Möllegård nature reserve (swe). External link, opens in new window. Then it's time to head home after wonderful days in Halmstad.
