HMS Najaden
HMS Najaden is the world’s smallest purpose-built full-rigged ship. Built in Karlskrona, it was used for exercises by the Swedish Navy from 1897 to 1938. It was donated to Halmstad in 1946, and is nowadays a museum ship, under the care of the Friends Of Najaden Association since 1988. The aim of the Association is to preserve and restore this unique ship in its original state, and open it to the general public on certain days in July and August. It will be closed in 2010 due to restoration.
